After a long off-season, GT5’s season finally began at the fastest race circuit in the UK, Thruxton.

On Saturday, the first Qualifying of the season resulted in a P12 for Will Orton and P22 for Connor Grady.

Race 1 was in tricky conditions, with a drying track, making tyre choice difficult. Will finished P8, in a good first race in the championship, and claiming 14 points. However, Connor did not finish due to mechanical issues, resulting in an overnight engine change.

On Sunday, Race 2 was luckily dry and was another chance for some more good points. Race 2 came with many challenges, including a safety car for several laps, however, both drivers finished in the top 10 with Will finishing P7 and Connor finishing P10.

After a good start to the season, the team are looking ahead to the next round at Brands Hatch on the British GT package. The GT5’s will be on the GP circuit on the 22nd and 23rd of May.
