For the third round of the year, the GT5 challenge championship took place at Silverstone, on the GP circuit.

On Saturday Morning, the drivers had an optional ‘paid practice’ where there was mixed conditions and a threat of rain. The practice enabled the grid to understand the conditions, and get a feel for the track conditions. Connor finished at the end of practice P9.

In the afternoon, we had qualifying, and luckily the threatened rain did not materialise. After the 25 minute session, Connor qualified P10 and Will qualified P2, with gap to leader being 0:015 seconds, and with these good results it meant there was lots of potential for the race.

On Sunday Morning, we had Race 1 in overcast conditions. Sadly, after the first lap, Connor had to retire the car due to a mechanical problem. However, after a very competitive race with close battles, Will finished in P4.

In the afternoon after the Silverstone 500, we had Race 2. Unfortunately, in the first lap, Will was involved in an incident which meant he did not finish the race, due to damaged suspension. However, after not finishing in Race 1, Connor was able to finish P6 in Race 2.

After a weekend with lots of ups and downs, the team is looking forward to the next round at Donington Park with the British GT.
